When re-stretching isn't worth doing
If the carpet is old, worn thin, or the backing has cracked at multiple points, re-stretching is a short-term patch at best. We'd rather tell you that upfront than charge for a stretch that ripples again within a year.
Carpet that's been wet at some point and dried unevenly often won't hold a stretch properly either, because the backing has distorted. That's a replacement situation, not a re-stretch one.
