Doorways and thresholds meeting skirting
Where flooring changes at a doorway, the skirting detail on each side of the threshold needs to look consistent, especially if one room is scribed and the neighbouring room is beaded. Door architrave is treated the same way as skirting in most cases, scribed down or covered with a matching bead so the whole opening reads as one finished detail rather than two different treatments either side of the door.
