Flooring transitions between zones
Where one flooring type meets another, at the boundary between a rubber weights area and a vinyl reception, for example, the transition strip needs to sit flush and secure to avoid a trip hazard, and this is planned at layout stage rather than added as an afterthought once tiles are already down.
- Transition strips specified to sit flush between differing floor thicknesses
- Zone boundaries planned before ordering to minimise awkward cuts at transitions
- Wheelchair and equipment trolley routes checked across any transition points
