Reception areas and the first impression of an industrial unit
The reception or front-of-house area of an industrial unit is often the only part a visitor or customer sees, and operators sometimes specify a higher-appearance flooring here than in the rest of the office, using commercial LVT or carpet tiles to make a stronger impression than the working areas behind it.
- Reception areas sometimes specified to a higher appearance standard than the rest of the office
- Carpet tiles used in reception for a softer, more presentable finish where footfall allows
- Signage and branding requirements occasionally influence flooring colour or layout at entrances
