If a leak caused it: what to do immediately
- Stop the water source first and mop up standing water rather than letting it sit on the LVT
- Lift a corner of affected planks if they're already loose, to let air reach the subfloor and speed drying
- Avoid sealing the room up — good airflow across the wet area matters more than heating it
- Don't glue anything back down until the subfloor has been moisture-tested and confirmed dry
- Keep a note of when the leak happened and how long water was present, it helps us assess how deep the moisture has gone
