Surveying a {town} school ahead of a holiday project
Because school flooring work happens in a fixed window, the survey stage matters more than it does for most commercial jobs. Rooms need measuring while still in use so the fitter can see genuine wear patterns, furniture layouts and door swing clearances before scheduling anything.
A survey carried out well before the holiday also gives time to order materials, particularly where a specific safety flooring colour or acoustic underlay grade needs to be confirmed with the manufacturer rather than taken from stock.
- Rooms measured and photographed while in normal use, not after furniture has been cleared
- Lead times for specific colours or underlay grades checked against the holiday date
- Access, parking and delivery routes confirmed with site staff ahead of the work
