Amtico Spacia and Signature, with the room, base and installation considered alongside the sample.

We supply and fit Amtico luxury vinyl flooring, with Spacia and Signature among our LVT options. The cost of an Amtico floor depends on the exact product, the layout and the work beneath it. A collection name is a useful starting point, but the fitting quotation needs to describe the actual rooms and their existing floors as well as the finish you have chosen.

Start at our Gillingham showroom if you want to compare samples, or bring the details of an Amtico product you already like to a free survey. We also fit customer-supplied flooring. Keep the product name and installation information with your enquiry so the preparation and fitting method can be assessed before you commit to the work.

Read an Amtico price against a named collection

Amtico prices are most useful when the quote identifies the collection, colour and format. Different LVT ranges have different thicknesses, wear layers and surface finishes. Compare those features against the room rather than assuming that everything carrying the same brand name has the same specification. A home hallway and a working reception need their use considered separately.

If you are looking at an Amtico cost per m2, check whether it is a product-only figure or includes installation. The measured area, cutting allowance, preparation and edge finishing all belong in the complete comparison. A low material figure does not describe the cost of removing an old covering, preparing the base and completing the room.

Agree the base before the visible layout

Thin glue-down LVT needs a smooth, sound surface because ridges and joints beneath it can show through. Concrete is checked for flatness and moisture; timber may need stabilising and a fixed plywood overlay. The appropriate treatment depends on what the survey finds and the selected flooring instructions. Underlay is not a substitute for the preparation required by a bonded product.

Our subfloor preparation service covers smoothing, plywood and moisture management where required. If existing tiles or adhesive remain, tell us about them before the visit. Deciding whether a surface can stay requires an assessment of its condition, not just a photograph of the finished room you want.

Pattern, borders and the view through the doorway

A straight plank layout and a patterned floor involve different setting-out decisions. Herringbone and chevron need products designed for those arrangements, with the direction, perimeter cuts and borders agreed before fitting starts. A doorway can make a centre line particularly noticeable, so consider the sightline into the room rather than choosing a pattern in isolation.

The herringbone fitting page explains that planning in more detail. Where several rooms join, include the thresholds and changes of covering in the brief. Those details affect fitting time independently of the floor area and help explain why two Amtico quotations may differ even when the material looks similar.

Buying elsewhere, fitting and future care

Buying Amtico online and arranging its installation are separate decisions. If you purchase your own flooring, check the exact product and fixing system before ordering, then give us those details for a fitting-only enquiry. The click and glue-down comparison explains the practical differences; the product instructions determine which method applies.

After fitting, use the care instructions for the named range. Remove grit, use an appropriate neutral cleaner and a well-wrung damp mop, and avoid abrasive or steam treatment. Keep spare pieces and product details: a later damaged plank is easier to assess when the original material can be identified. Lifting a bonded floor for reuse is a different proposition from replacing one damaged piece.

Frequently asked questions

Can Amtico flooring be lifted and relaid?
That depends on the fixing system and condition. A glued plank may be damaged during removal, so lifting a whole floor for reuse should not be assumed possible. Have the product and base assessed before deciding.
Can I buy Amtico online and have you fit it?
We offer fitting of customer-supplied flooring. Send the exact product and installation details so the survey can assess the required preparation and fitting scope.
Can I fit Amtico myself?
The product instructions, flatness, moisture condition and accurate cutting all matter. Glue-down installation also needs suitable preparation and adhesive. Our LVT fitting service is available if you want the work surveyed and quoted.
What affects the cost of Amtico flooring?
The collection, room layout, pattern, removal of the old covering, preparation and thresholds affect the total. Compare quotations for the same product and complete installation scope.
